West Asia’s Transition from Crisis to Development

 

At the Tehran Dialogue Forum, a specialized panel titled “West Asia: Regional Order and Future of Resistance” was convened to explore economic development in West Asian countries.

The session gathered prominent academic and political figures from Iran, Sudan, Turkey, and Palestine to examine the multifaceted aspects of regional development and its connection to the concept of resistance.

Discussions focused on how recent developments have shaped the emerging regional order, the role of non-state actors, and the intersection of economic development and resistance in the region.

Speakers at the panel included Dr. Kayhan Barzegar from Iran; a representative from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail, former Sudanese Foreign Minister and university professor; Dr. Arya Barzegar from the University of Tehran; Dr. Qadir Temiz, head of the Political Studies Center at the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Ms. Oura Al-Aireh from Palestine.

The panel emphasized that West Asia is moving beyond crisis and towards development, with resistance and regional cooperation playing a crucial role in shaping this transformation.
